Memories

Kade was always a big motivation on the Cross Country team this year and had me laughing on all of our trips. One memory that stands out is about him just being funny and also dedicated , but more important so caring of others. We were at the Globe Meet and I think he had eaten something That didn’t settle well in his stomach. Kade ran the whole 3miles on a horrible stomach. He saw the finish line and just started sprinting. Unfortunately he couldn’t hold his cookies any longer but didn’t want to stop so picked as he ran across the finish causing an epic finish. We teased him about not stopping to puck but he told us he saw the finish line and didn’t wasn’t to wait to finish. He sat and sipped on a Gatorade as the varsity ran started. My son in the course of the race struggled with an on going injury he was having. I didn’t know at the time but he watched in concern for him as he ran the race. When my son finish I helped him hobble or to where Kade was sitting and Kade Jumped up asking what he could do to help. I was surprised because I knew he was not feeling great himself, but his concern for his teammate was of more importance to how he was feeling at the moment. This was Kade. He was always wanting others to do well and was so selfless in everything he did. My heart hurts for everyone that was able to know and love him, but I do know he will still be the cheering everyone on and helping in anyway he can.
