I remember lots of times going over to their house in Bisbee and Madison, Me, Kade and Nick and maybe the others would go out behind the house and yard. We would find lots of old car parts or mattress springs and stuff and just go and explore. I also remember how sister Nelson used to make peanut butter playdoh and we’d play with it and eat it. I remember lots of times playing with Madison and Lathan and Kade whether it was lightsaber fights or playing pretend or watching movies. I also remember times when we would make a girls only club or the boys would do a boys only club with Nick and Kade and we would all torment each other 😂

I also remember one time when Kade tripped or something and split his head open on the counter, but I don’t think that’s what anyone wants to hear😅

I remember all the times we would wrestle to prove who was the better one.

I remember one time when we had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and before we even had the blessing Kade was asking for seconds.

I remember when we would all go and look for grubs to feed their chickens.

As small kids, I remember having ‘tea’ parties with him and Madison. I remember being in the kindergarten play with him, “Caps for Sale”.  He was the salesman and I got to throw hats at him!  Also in Kindergarten I remember one time when the teacher put on Sponge Bob Square Pants and Kade and I weren’t allowed to watch it. We were upset and pouting and had to go and color in the corner together. In 1st grade, in the Thanksgiving play Kade was an Indian and Alex Dozier and I were Pilgrims and we were arguing which was better pilgrims or Indians.

As kids, we were always with the Nelson.

In 8th grade we ended up at a basketball tournament together and I remember Kade buying an entire Hershey Chocolate Pie from Pizza Hut to eat in the car on the way home.

More Recently, when we were at the park with the Nelson. Kade wasn’t feeling well, but played basketball anyway, and rode the scooters anyway, and ate a slushy anyway, but finally he was done.  Madison was going to drive him home and right before he got in the car he threw up all over, then hopped in the car, and as they were pulling away he leaned out the window with a huge smile on his face saying “I’m all good!”

My kids and the Nelson kids were always together when we lived in Bisbee. They played well together…too well.  They had too much fun and more than once, Kade’s head ended up split open.  To avoid the ER and more horrible staples, we would shave the spot and slap on a put on a butterfly band aid.  I’ve never seen a kids skin open up like Kade’s.
